Charles A. Henderson Memorial Cancer Fund
The History
The Charles A. Henderson Memorial Cancer Fund was established in 2021 to honor the life, legacy, and compassionate service of Dr. Charles A. "Chuck" Henderson, founder of Piedmont Cancer Institute.
For more than 38 years, Dr. Henderson dedicated his career to providing exceptional care to patients throughout the greater Atlanta community as a respected oncologist and hematologist. Recognized multiple times as one of Atlanta's "Top Doctors," he was admired not only for his clinical excellence but also for his unwavering compassion, integrity, and commitment to treating every patient with dignity and hope.
As a cancer survivor himself, Dr. Henderson understood firsthand the physical, emotional, and financial challenges faced by individuals and families confronting a cancer diagnosis. His personal experience strengthened his resolve to provide compassionate care and inspired the creation of a lasting legacy dedicated to helping others.
Today, the Charles A. Henderson Memorial Cancer Fund continues that legacy by supporting charitable programs that provide assistance and resources to cancer patients and their families.
